Spring Detox Workshop with Marion Colledge

Cleanse and re-set with herbs and nutrition

Spring is the time of year for renewal. The natural world comes out of winter survival and resting

mode and new beginnings are underway. What better time to have a health re-set by supporting

your body’s detoxification processes and cleansing your system. The effects can range from

increased energy to improved focus, better digestion, better sleep and the possibility of loosing a

few pounds.

Marion, our Nutritional Therapist and Medical Herbalist, will talk you through some nutritional

strategies which can help with this such as fasting days or going sugar free for a period of time.

She will also discuss ways in which we can help the body’s natural detoxification pathways every

day for long-term health benefits. There will be the option of joining Marion on a 4 day sugar free

plant based cleanse afterwards where recipes will be provided alongside support through a

WhatsApp group.

Medicinal herbs have long been used to support detoxification through the liver, digestive system,

lymphatics and urinary tract. Marion will introduce some of these herbs and there will be the

opportunity to create your own 50g cleansing herbal tea blend to take home with you.

Welcome to this workshop on exploring the practice of meditation as a means to cultivate a steady mind, manage stress, and experience a greater sense of well-being. If you're hesitant to try meditation because you find it difficult to quiet your mind or sit still with your emotions, fear not - this workshop is perfect for you.

In a supportive and non-judgmental environment, you'll learn that meditation is not about emptying your mind or being hard on yourself for having difficult feelings. Rather, it's about developing the resources to bear witness to your own experiences as you navigate the ups and downs of life. With regular practice, meditation can help you remain stable amidst the changing and often turbulent landscape of life, creating a greater sense of calm and centeredness.

One of the foundational skills you'll learn in this workshop is breathwork. You'll discover how practising yoga and meditation can teach you to control your breath as a way to calm your nervous system and settle your mind. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to connect with a supportive community of fellow students who can help support you in your meditation practice.
