What is Qigong? Setting the foundations In this session, we explore some of the principles, ideas, and characteristics of a Qi Gong practice and set the foundations for the 6-week journey ahead.

Week 2

The Way of Spring We explore the energy of Spring. Associated with the Wood element and the Liver, we will learn the important role this energy plays in regulating our overall well-being. Through our practice, we aim to balance the flow of energy that is responsible for our ability to grow, create, dream, and actualise life plans. Along with improving muscle strength, blood pressure, and blood sugars, digestive issues, immune issues, and weak fingernails and toenails, all characteristics associated with the Wood element and Spring.

Week 3

The Way of Summer. We explore the energy of Summer. Associated with the Fire element and the Heart, we will learn the important role this energy plays in regulating our overall well-being. Through our practice, we aim to balance the flow of energy that is responsible for our ability to experience warmth, joy, tranquility, and fulfillment. We are able to speak our truth and connect with people with ease and compassion. Along with improving sleep disorders, stuttered speech, anxiety, nervousness, agitation, and overstimulation, all characteristics associated with the Fire element and Summer.

Week 4

The Way of Late Summer We explore the energy of Late Summer. Associated with the Earth element and the Stomach, we will learn the important role this energy plays in regulating our overall well-being. Through our practice, we aim to balance the flow of energy that is responsible for our ability to be centered and calm. Earth balances all the other elements and can balance a number of opposing forces and not feel overwhelmed. When balanced, our mind is at ease, and we respond with grace and peace to the things we cannot control. Along with improving circulation, body shape and elasticity, fatigue, cold hands and feet, water retention, asthma, and appetite, all characteristics associated with the Earth element and Late Summer.

Week 5

The Way of Autumn We explore the energy of Autumn. Associated with the Metal element and the Lungs, we will learn the important role this energy plays in regulating our overall well-being. Along with cultivating a healthy routine and ritual, Metal likes order, respect, and structure. Healthy and balanced Metal energy will also improve excessive or deficient sweat, fatigue, weak immunity, phlegm and mucus, dry hair, or an imbalanced complexion, all characteristics associated with the Metal element and Autumn.

Week 6

The Way of Winter We explore the energy of Winter. Associated with the Water element and the Kidneys, we will learn the important role this energy plays in regulating our overall well-being. Through our practice, we aim to balance the flow of energy that is responsible for our ability to be soft and strong like Water. Associated with the Dao itself, Water offers an opportunity for deep listening and wisdom. It's a time to surrender to a stillness and preservation that is rooted in introspection. Healthy and balanced Water energy will also improve ear disorders, urine imbalances, phlegm and diarrhea, lower back pain, insomnia, and water retention, all characteristics associated with the Water element and Winter.

We recommend you arrive 5-10 minutes early so the class and your day can run on time.

  • Cancellations within 72 hours of the course starting will not be refunded.

Cancellations outside of 72 hours of the course start will be refunded upon request, otherwise, the passes can be transferred to another course (or a later cohort of the cancelled course).

There is no refund offered for missed sessions within the course.

If we are required to cancel a class due to teacher illness, we will offer a make-up session the week following the last session of the course.

The teacher may choose to cancel a course if a low number of people sign up. Please book in as early as you can to stop this from happening! Your pass will automatically be returned to your Mindbody account in this incidence. You can request a refund if you want one, otherwise, the passes can be transferred to another course (or a later cohort of the cancelled course).
